Founded in January 2000, Shanghai Solar Energy S&T Co.Ltd (SSEC) is jointly invested by Shanghai Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical Co.Ltd (SAAE)(Stock code: 600151), Shanghai Science & Technology Investment Co.Ltd, and Shanghai Institute of Space Power Sources (SISP) with total capital of one hundred million. The company covers the area of 22080 ©O with 8000 ©O production area. It is mainly engaged in the research, development, manufacture, sales, construction and service. Now the total annual production capacity is 80 MW. The modules are of the advantages of high efficiency, large output power, high reliability and long operation life. Our mission is ¡°to create fortune with advanced aerospace solar technology¡±. The PV modules manufactured by SSEC have been tested and certified both by ¡°World Bank Project¡± and ¡°China National Bright Project¡±.

 SSEC is mainly engaged in the development and production of power system including terrestrial solar cells and pv systems. The products are widely used in pv stations, pv/wind station, pv pumps, navigator, TV & Broadcasting station, mobile telecommunication station, grid-connected and off-grid systems. Modules have been sold to Germany, Japan, Thailand, South Africa, The United States, DPRK, Canada, Spain, etc. The sales revenue of 2005 will be about USD 100 million. SSEC is planning to set up a first class solar technology center with the investment of 320 million in the next 5 years. The product capacity both for module and solar cell will be 100 MW. The total annual turnover will be 3 billion RMB.
